IntactSTORY / GAMEPLAY
An army of powerful alien species attacks and conquers planet Xyphor II and you, as a skillful pilot, have to lead the fight to restore freedom and peace. Your mission in "shooting anything that moves" may sound simple but it's not. Destroying an entire attacking formation a credit will appear, moving in a circle, so you'll need to grab it on time before it explodes. The value of a credit will be added to your weapons' account as follows: Blue credit = 1, Red credit = 2, Yellow credit = 3. In each level you will randomly pass by a shopping airway through which extras can be purchased by using the credits gained, To buy a weapon you must fly over its icon (depending on the number of credits collected and the readily available weapons highlighted in yellow. Weapon upgrades vary from engine boosters, turbo fire, sideways fire, forward multi-fire (three to four simultaneous shots), shield upgrade or an extra life. In addition, if you have more than three credits at your disposal you may bomb the enemies at any time. The game also supports a two-players mode that makes it more attractive playing with a friend.
In general, Intact does not actually add anything new or special treats or anything out of the ordinary to the genre, but it still has a certain entertainment value although its high difficulty level. Even if you have the ability to memorize flight paths and maneuvering patterns, the screen will always be overcrowded by enemies and their bullet-hell shots.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
Intact is a classic vertical scrolling shoot 'em up that looks an plays much like many nice arcade games. And it's a well coded effort with smooth scrolling and flawless action. The backgrounds themselves look neat, the colors selected do the job well while the sprites and backdrops move fast.
The game's sound is better than its visuals . It features a cool intro song (yes it's song) and a variety of sampled spot effects for every single shot or explosion, all adding positively to the game's Sci-Fi shooting experience.
